New Church / Chapel Completed at Kikongo Village
A new, multi-purpose building was recently completed at Kikongo Primary School on Buvuma Island.
The building will serve as a chapel and auditorium for Kikongo School, and also as a church sanctuary for Kikongo Africa Gospel Church.
The enrollment at the school has increased about 30% over the past few years, and the church has grown as well. This new building will be a big help in meeting the needs of both ministries.
Rev. David Dikhosooka, Area Overseer helped oversee the construction and is quite pleased with the results.
"When we see the church, the community, and the school work together on a big project like this, it is really great. World Gospel Mission and its friends in the US were a bit help in the funding of the project, and the community did their part as well. Everyone is happy with the say it turned out."
Rev. Jonathan Mayo, Country Director for World Gospel Mission Uganda was equally enthusiastic.
"Everyone did their part. Combine that with generous donors, and God can get a lot of praise and glory."
"This will be a strong base for outreach in the community, and to strenthen the spiritual ministry of the school as well."
